A huge thanks to the teams at all our sites who have donated coats for the Yorkshire Children’s Charity’s (YCC) Winter Support Campaign, which is helping families with essential items like warm, waterproof coats, school shoes, bedding, and pyjamas.

A fundraising tombola organised by a team member at a Scarborough garden centre has raised £280 for our charity of the year, Yorkshire Children’s Charity.

Our generous teams have collected over 400 items to distribute to food banks in areas around our centres.

We’re delighted to share the news that we are to operate a further site in West Yorkshire. The former Dobbies Garden Centre Pennine in Huddersfield will join the YGC Partners business and will reopen in spring 2025 following a period of refurbishment.

As the YGC group continues to grow, we have created three new roles to support growth at our six sites. The new roles of Group People and Culture Manager, Group Catering Operations Manager and Giftware and Christmas Team Lead will work across all sites.

On August 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th, visitors to Grass Hoppers indoor and outdoor play at Tong Garden will be able to participate in fun activities and science demonstrations led by the a team of the museum’s top explainers.
