The Light Trail is a magical illuminated outdoor experience at Tingley Garden Centre. Featuring themed zones, interactive light displays, festive photo opportunities, Christmas crafts, and seasonal entertainment, it's the perfect festive outing for families, couples, and friends.

Most visitors spend between 25 minutes and 45 minutes enjoying the trail, crafts, interactive features, and photo opportunities. Add an additional 15 minutes if you have booked to visit Santa's grotto.

Yes. All tickets must be pre-booked online. Capacity is limited for each timed entry slot, and many dates sell out in advance.

Bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Unfortunately, once a booking has been made, tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Customers who create an account at the time of booking will have the option to amend their booking themselves, up to 7 days before their scheduled visit, subject to availability. Changes can only be made to like-for-like sessions of equal value (e.g. Peak to Peak).

Lost or deleted booking confirmations can be resent upon request, but admission is only granted with a valid booking reference or ticket barcode.

Santa's Light Trail & Grotto Experience includes a festive group welcome and a special toy gift for each paying child from Santa. Light Trail Only tickets provide access to the trail but do not include the Santa welcome or toy.

The Light Trail is an outdoor experience, so please dress appropriately for winter weather and wear suitable footwear.

The event operates in most weather conditions. We recommend bringing waterproof clothing and sturdy footwear if rain is forecast. If severe weather affects the event, ticket holders will be contacted directly.

Yes. Free on-site parking is available for all Light Trail visitors.

The trail is accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs in many areas; however, some sections may be difficult to navigate due to uneven or natural surfaces, particularly during wet weather. Only assistance dogs are permitted on the Light Trail or in the garden centre.

Yes. Our Winter Food Market is located under the plant canopy at Tingley Garden Centre and can be enjoyed at the end of your Light Trail experience. We recommend checking the Winter Food Market opening times before booking or visiting, as these may vary throughout the season.

Absolutely! There are plenty of photo opportunities throughout the trail, including illuminated tunnels, festive displays, and interactive light installations.

We recommend arriving shortly before your booked entry time. Guests cannot be admitted before their allocated timeslot to ensure a smooth experience for everyone.

Children under 3 can visit the Light Trail free of charge, but a free ticket must still be selected for capacity management purposes.

If a child under 3 would like to visit Santa and receive a gift, a Santa ticket must be purchased. Please note that children under 12 months and children aged 3 to 12 have different ticket prices, as they receive different gift options from Santa.

Many guests choose to combine their Light Trail visit with ice skating, Grass Hoppers, shopping, or dining. Please note that these attractions require separate tickets unless otherwise stated.
